About Ashley
I have always been a seeker, of connection, of wholeness, of exploration. My life’s journey has taken many twists and turns to bring me to this place, one in which I am called to accompany people as their life unfolds. My goal as a practitioner is to create a warm, welcoming environment which enables clients to bring all aspects of themselves to the work, even the parts that have felt too shameful to previously share. I find that I am naturally called to begin from a place of compassion, and as a long time student of compassion practices, it is easy to see the goodness in each person’s story.
I hold Masters’ degrees in Social Work, Jewish Studies, and Human Sexuality Education, with a focus on clinical sex therapy. I completed spiritual direction training and serve as a spiritual director for rabbinical students, as well as a mentor for the spiritual direction training program at the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. I am a Special Advisor for Member Support and Counseling for the CCAR, where I work with clergy. During the pandemic, I completed a grief counseling certificate and volunteered extensively for the COVID Grief Network. Currently, I am in the final year of my Doctorate in Ministry in Contemplative Practice, Spiritual Renewal, and Strategic Leadership from Claremont School of Theology.
I could not survive without laughter, and I hope to bring a sense of lightheartedness to my work, while honoring the enormity of life’s pains.
